This is a mini blog to accompany the vlog from yesterday where I went up to London to have my long awaited ‘Work in progress’ range printed at the awesome 5th Column print studio.

As I type this blog post I’m sitting in someone else’s home. I’ve been ‘house sitting’ for a friend for over a week now. This is the 5th residence I’ve lived in over the past four months in Cape Town*, to say I miss home is an understatement, but I’ll be sad to get on that plane in 48 hours from now. I love this city, I love this country.
I came here with three goals;
1. Continue my good run of flat water training
2. Spend as much time as possible with my girlfriend Nicole
3. Learn to surfski better
At 16 I was completing around 8 hours a week. I would train once a day with the odd extra run or gym thrown in. I trained 6 days a week with Fridays off, we raced almost every weekend…
